ever been jealous of an email?

Hey you,
I’m back, as promised.

If you read my Friday email and got the low-down, you can jump right into the first Unfiltered 👉 here:

Today, I shared what happened when I spiralled after reading someone else's perfectly structured email...
How I almost swallowed my own voice (again)...
And how I used one five-minute practice to get so rooted back into my truth that I built an entire weekly experience and container out of it.

Didn’t read Friday’s email? No worries. I got you.

So... WTF is Unfiltered?

Here’s what I know:

You can’t build a brand that is sustainable for you, if you don’t know who you are.

You can’t tell a designer what you want aesthetically or create it yourself if you're unclear on your voice, your values, or your mission.

And if you make that part up or guess without doing the work? You’ll be performing a brand, not running one.

And performing a brand? Is exhaustinggg.

So if you’re like I was; absolutely drained in your business, lost in your life (motherhood, grief, diagnosis, or anything else you’re carrying), and feeling mad stuck?

First: You're not alone.
Second: You're not crazy.
Third: It’s way more normal than most people are willing to admit (maybe even you?).

Unfiltered and the Unfiltered Café are where I stop pretending I’ve got it all together and start sharing the real. So, you can do it quietly and in a safe space.

Not to air dirty laundry or to perform vulnerability, but to cut the performance and show you exactly how I move through it, one meltdown at a time.

What it’s not:

  • A 5-step plan to build your brand
  • SEO strategies or monetization hacks
  • Vibes without action

What it is:

  • Real stories, real spirals, real repair and recovery
  • A mirror to your mess and a method to move forward
  • A nervous-system-safe reset ritual for your Mondays

Because when you get crystal clear on who you are, everything else gets easier.
Even the SEO. Even the branding. Even the momentum.
Because you’re no longer pushing past the truth, you’re moving from it.

When you stop gaslighting yourself, ditch the game of online perfection, and pick up the torch to shine a light on who you actually are?
You don’t just feel like a CEO.
You become one.
And you start having fun again. Remember fun?

Because frankly? Life’s too short to kick yourself for decisions not made sooner.

So what’s today’s Unfiltered about?

If you:

  • Struggle to meet your own deadlines
  • See your magic echoed by someone else in your industry, and it gives you some feelings.
  • Are afraid to say what you really want to say because of what it might disrupt...

Read this.

Today’s story started when I got jealous of an email.
Yep. Not the person.
The email.

And from that spiral? I pulled a thread, got grounded in five minutes, and built the Unfiltered Café: system, strategy, process, in a way that works better for me (and for you).

You can read the story for free, because even that will shift something.
And if you want the actual five-minute practice that cracked it open and made it stick?

That’s inside the Café. $5 CAD/month.

Mondays should inspire you to move mountains. But if they make you want to disappear (like they used to for me), check out Unfiltered.

Or don’t. 😂 Your life.

xo,
Mel

Hey, If you didn't read Friday's email yet, go do that. Especially if you don't run a newsletter and want to... or you do want to but "can't right now" (yes, I typed that in long, dramatic syllables). And if you did read it, and fall into either of those two camps, this little PSA if for you. Because you probably had one of three reactions: Ugh, I need this, and I want it but...money. Holidays. The economy. Ugh, I need this and I just can't because...*Insert reason here. Any reason. Don't...

Hey Reader, Last Saturday, while pondering what to write for my own newsletter, a thought hit me, smack in the middle of my kitchen, as they do: “Most of you don’t actually hate email. You hate thinking about email.” (... or confidently ignore it on your business wish list.) I can understand why: First, there's the strategy gap> Then the blank page triggers “what the hell do I write?” > and screaming through your blinking cursor, the “I shoulds” start compounding like interest you never...

Hey Reader... TL;DR - Hey, what's up? Here's how I can help you. You already know this isn't a 1:1 email, so I won't pretend that it is. I know a lot of people do that as a trick to write email blasts that feel personal, but here's the thing: You're not dumb. I can still write something for you, with you knowing this is going out to hundreds of people and still have it land. And here's why this should matter to you: I'm about to make your choice super easy. The choices are this: stay or go....
